As Global Director, Digital Acquisition at Avis Budget Group, Alex Sutton oversees paid digital media strategy across SEM/ PPC, display, and affiliate for Avis, Budget, Budget Truck, and Payless.  In this role he is responsible for maximizing the ROI of highly targeted direct digital campaigns that drive in-market renters to ABG’s owned properties.  Prior to Avis Budget Group Alex led digital acquisition for the MY M&M’S & Mars Retail Group divisions of Mars, Inc. and has over 9 years of client-side direct marketing experience across travel, CPG, retail, and media industry verticals.  Alex employs a structured test and learn approach to incremental growth and performance and has leveraged consumer insights from 150+ digital a/b and multivariate media tests in the optimization of campaigns.  Recent projects also include collective game theory digital attribution and optimization, programmatic visibility tech implementation, and global data restructures.

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business – Go Terps and Go Blue!
