Tac Anderson 's Profile

Tac Anderson

Digital Consulting Director, Waggener Edstrom's Studio D Group

Tac Anderson describes himself as an "ADHD, GenXer with a ravenous thirst for information and a healthy addiction to the internet." This comes in handy with his new role at Waggener Edstrom's Studio D Group as its digital consulting director. Prior to that he worked at Hewlett-Packard, where he managed both internal and external social media initiatives. Some of his work was highlighted in a case study in the Harvard Business Review book "Groundswell."

Tac is a true social media evangelist and visionary. His knowledge of the space continues to amaze me. He is truly a forward thinking marketer who values the concept of community and authenticity. He is an excellent speaker, writer, blogger, and Twitterer. He is also a nice guy!"

  • Social media strategist, Intel

Anderson developed the plan for and helped launch, Boise, Idaho's first technology business incubator, The WaterCooler. He is also the founder of TechBoise.com, one of the North West's premier technology news and community sites. In addition, Anderson served as the entrepreneur-in-residence at Highway 12 Ventures.

While Anderson has focused professionally on social media technologies and communications for the last five years, he's been passionately involved in "computer mediated communications" (now known as "new media") since the mid 1990s.

Anderson has a BA in communications and an MBA from Boise State University. He currently lives in the Seattle area with his wife and three children.
