As Product Marketing Manager, you will assume responsibility for creating and maintaining the external positions of our technology software products. This position will report to senior leadership and will work closely with sales, product development, and the executive team. In this important role, you will manage external product positioning, messaging, and collateral as well as the corporate website and the full library of sales enablement materials. You will need to quickly become an expert on the products, the market, our customer list, and competition and be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our products to the marketplace. In addition, you will manage the organization’s marketing and branding.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and implement messaging platforms that clearly position the company and its product lines in the marketplace
Create high-impact internal and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of our products
Develop vertical-specific content and materials to better reach target industries
Develop website content to drive sales through clear, high-impact company and product information
Develop and manage product collateral including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and technical documentation
Develop and manage sales tools including sales presentations, ROI calculators, needs analysis tools, scripts, letters, and positioning documents
Establish and maintain a marketing relationship with key customers who are willing to be references for case studies and speaking events
Develop and manage customer marketing/reference materials including case studies, customer videos, and customer profiles
Review and edit RFP responses and other important sales proposals
Coordinate closely with sales, design, and the development team
Assist with sales training on product positioning – ensure all sales members can internalize and clearly communicate our product positioning and message
You must be a great writer with experience developing high-impact sales materials for a successful technology company, HR technology preferred
5 or more years of software/services product marketing experience
Excellent verbal presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key customers, prospects and business partners, sales, customer support and development
Experience in developing effective and creative product marketing collateral, such as Web content, data sheets, and white papers
A deep understanding of the technology software market
BA or BS degree and/or equivalent experience required
