Global Browser Usage
OneStat.com reports that Mozilla's Firefox browser now claims 12.93 percent of the global internet audience, up 14 tenths of a percentage point since May. Internet Explorer has seen a loss in audience over this period, while Apple's Safari has remained flat and Opera has gained users.
Firefox has a higher percentage of the U.S. audience, with 15.82 percent of users, and even more so in Australia, with 24.3 percent, and in Germany, with 39.02 percent of the market.
More change in the browser breakdown is ahead, as Mozilla and Microsoft plan to launch Firefox 2.0 and IE7, respectively, by the end of the year.
