Warner Music Group signed a deal with YouTube.com to make its library of music videos available for free on the popular video-sharing site.
Videos from Warner Music are free to watch on the ad-supported YouTube and marks the first time a large record label has made such an agreement with YouTube.
Warner and YouTube will share advertising revenue sold in connection with the video content, the New York Times reported.
"Partnering with Warner Music Group is one of the most significant milestones for our company and our community, and shifts the paradigm in this new media movement," says Chad Hurley, YouTube's chief executive and co-founder. "By providing a new distribution opportunity, we are paving the way for media companies to harness the vast financial potential of user-generated content on YouTube."
Last month the two companies teamed up to launch a brand channel to promote the Warner Music debut album by Paris Hilton.
