Podcast Ready Launches feedCaster

Podcast Ready, a Houston-based company, recently announced the launch of feedCaster, which allows podcast subscribers to record themselves via microphone or webcam in order to leave audio or video comments on any podcast. Podcast producers can now use feedCaster in order to promote content and invite users to subscribe to social networking sites (such as MySpace.com) or their own podcast site, and provide a kind of forum for podcast subscribers.

"Launching feedCaster as a free widget that can promote and provide feedback in the podcasting community fits with Podcast Ready's mission to develop new software and services needed to take podcasting to true mass adoption," said Podcast Ready's CEO and founder, Russell Holliman.

John Federico, a co-host of On Digital Media podcast, said, "With feedCaster on our site, I'm looking to build a new community of active podcast participants who leave comments for me and my visitors to hear and see."

Podcast Ready is currently demonstrating its latest software and services, including feedCaster, at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo the weekend of September 29-30 in Ontario, Calif. The feedCaster beta is available on the On Digital Media podcast.
