Microsoft Announces Mobile Content Deal

The Week Magazine has entered an exclusive partnership with Microsoft Windows Mobile to publish content for mobile devices such as smartphones, PDAs and other handheld computers.

The two companies did not disclose if there were plans for advertising so the service is seen more as a co-branding partnership.

"The program provides a perfect branding platform for Microsoft Windows Mobile: expanding awareness and generating excitement for the operating system by engaging The Week readers and giving them the content they love first and fast," says Justin Smith, president of The Week. "The partnership represents a natural synergy of products from two established brands. The Week's concise, bottom-lined editorial is a natural fit for this new media."
