Dove Campaign Sets Record

Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty is getting real exposure. Advertising Age reports that "Evolution," a 75-second video produced by Ogilvy & Mather, Toronto, has gotten 1.7 million views on YouTube in the last month. It has also gotten TV coverage on Fox's "Geraldo," "Ellen," "Entertainment Tonight," ABC's "The View," and CNN. All this from a spot that never ran on TV and wasn't a paid placement.

Traffic levels to Dove's website, are triple that seen after its Super Bowl ad ran. "Evolution" has been viewed more times than any other online campaign in the health and beauty category, including Tribal DDB's Philips Norelco Bodygroom Shave Everywhere site.

Dove learned the power of online marketing earlier this year when its Super Bowl ad was seen by 90 million on-air, but by 400 million searching for it online.
