Anheuser-Busch to Double Digital Spend

Anheuser-Busch plans to increase its digital marketing spend in 2007, AdAge.com reports.

"We will be significantly increasing our total spend, with revisions in our media mix to reflect the viewing habits of our consumers," says Chief Financial Officer Randy Baker.

TNS Media Intelligence reports that Anheuser-Busch spent $287.2 million on network TV during 2005, about 47 percent of its overall media spend.

The brewing company plans to spend more ad dollars in online marketing. In the summer, Anheuser-Busch launched Bud.tv, an internet-based eight-channel TV network.

AdAge reports that Anheuser-Busch may spend up to 10 percent of its media budget on Bud.tv. in 2007.
