Verizon Makes Deals with Revver/NFL

On the heels of yesterday's news that it has finalized a content deal with YouTube, Verizon announced today that it will be the exclusive U.S. distributor for Revver content, reports Multichannel News.

Verizon also announced today that it has agreed to deliver live NFL Network sports and entertainment programming to all its consumer broadband customers -- including customers of both Verizon's FiOS Internet Service and Verizon Online's DSL service --beginning December 7. (Through a separate agreement, Verizon already provides the NFL Network TV channel to subscribers of its 200-channel all-digital FiOS TV Premier package.)

Revver will begin providing videos to Verizon's $14.99 a month V-Cast service in early December as well. Verizon will provide new clips to V-Cast subscribers twice a week. Those selections can also be viewed online, on Revver's site, in a V-Cast Collection section.

Revver offers contributors 50 percent of the ad revenue generated from their submitted videos, and said in reports that the revenue-share plan would apply to videos selected by Verizon for V-Cast.
