Yahoo! executive David Katz, who had been in charge of the company's sports and entertainment content since 2005, stepped down last week, reportedly because of conflicts with Yahoo's entertainment chief Lloyd Braun, Variety reported yesterday.

Variety also reported that Current TV and Yahoo Video, which partnered in September, have ended their arrangement. Current launched with four broadband channels on Yahoo Video featuring user-generated content.
