America Online Inc.'s chief executive Randy Falco has announced that the company will be creating a senior position to market its brand and that several executives will report to a newly appointed deputy, reports the Associated Press.
Randy Falco is new to the AOL helm after he was hired from NBC in November. Falco has not officially announced who would fill the chief marketing officer position.
"It's our desire to instill greater focus on execution. We believe there can be more clarity and accountability built into the organization," said Falco.
In September, AOL announced plans that it will reorganize its business divisions to boost internet advertising sales globally.
Last week, AOL announced it has laid off about 450 workers at the Dulles headquarters of AOL.
