NBC Posts SNL Content on YouTube
Remember when NBC lambasted YouTube for running a "Saturday Night Live" skit, demanding they remove it and all other NBC content from the site?
That was then, this is now.
In their Church of the Customer blog, Jackie Huba and Ben McConnell point out that NBC has posted an uncensored short from this past weekend's show directly on YouTube. The piece, featuring Andy Samberg and guest host Justin Timberlake, reportedly has received over a half-million views, hundreds of comments and hundreds of "favoriting."
In June, NBC signed a deal with YouTube to promote clips of the network's upcoming fall season. It was the first such deal YouTube made to promote media posted not from its own users.
As part of the deal, NBC agreed to buy ads on YouTube.
