College football fans will have a new way to catch their favorite bowl games in the new year. Fox Sports is joining the ranks of other integrators such as CBS and Apple to offer NCAA Bowl downloads through Fox Sports on MSN, Fox Interactive Media's Direct2Drive, Apple's iTunes, Amazon's Unbox, AOL Video, CinemaNow and Instant Media, reports MediaPost Publications.
Fans will be able to download games in their entirety for $2.99 with pre-game highlights for an additional $1.99.
"Sports fans are consuming content on new and different platforms every day, and our goal is to expand the reach of Fox Sports and the BCS to as many of those media platforms as possible," Ed Goren, president of Fox Sports, said in a statement.
Fox plans to offer live streaming video of the Cotton Bowl for free on January 1; all other games will be available 24 hours after kick-off.
