Kodak's In-House Video Gets Viral Fame

Kodak has created an in-house, tongue-in-cheek video that is fast becoming a viral hit.

The "Winds of Change" video features an actor praising the history of Kodak and the long tradition of the brand with such concepts as "Kodak Moments." The actor then becomes more energetic and frenzied as he explains how Kodak is now entrenched in advanced, digital technology. The tone of the short video is slightly tongue-in-cheek and entertaining.

"You'd never expect it from Kodak. Kodak has been very narrowly defined -- broadly represented as a brand, but narrowly defined," Betty Noonan, Kodak director and VP-brand management, told AdAge.

The video, which was created by Kodak and its agency Partners & Napier, started as an internal presentation for a digital conference last May.

The "Winds of Change" video has garnered some positive feedback from viewers on the web with posted comments such as, " Kodak should air this one! It's brilliant! They could use the new image too. Glad this one leaked out."
