Industry Answers TD's Call, Raises 80K

The interactive marketing industry has responded to Tom Deierlein's call to provide Iraqi children with basic humanitarian aid through the TD Foundation.

Deierlein, the COO of Dynamic Logic, was called to active duty in 2005. He was later severely wounded, but after a lengthy recovery at Walter Reed Medical Center, Deierlein turned his attention to helping the Iraqi children who had their lives disrupted by the war.

At iMedia's Agency Summit in Austin, Texas, Deierlein told the crowd about the TD Foundation's goal of bringing aid directly to the children of Iraq. Attendees were given the opportunity to purchase bracelets in support of the TD Foundation and several industry firms also lent their support.

The following companies have signed on to support the TD Foundation:

AccuWeather, Active Athelete, MediaArcher, Advisors Casale Media, CBS Digital, MediaCentro, CNET, Collective Media, Comscore, Context Web, DMG World Media, DoubleClick, Dow Jones Online, Dynamic Logic, Forbes.com, Greater than One, Heavy.com, Hoovers Internet Broadcasting, Isobar, Jumpstart Automotive, Mediasmith, NBC Universal/iVillage, OMDPointroll, Popular Media, Reuters, Rivals, Thunderbolt Group, Tiburon Media Group, Tremor Media, United Online, Upstream Group, XLNTads and Zango.

"My friend Tom Deierlein is a remarkable guy: a pillar of this industry, a courageous soldier and a hero not only to the children of Iraq but to me," iMedia Founder and CEO Rick Parkhill said. "I'm proud that both corporations and individuals stepped up at last week's Agency Summit to support the good work of the Tom Deierlein Foundation to the tune of more than $80,000.00. And I pledge iMedia's continued support."
