Team Falco in Place at AOL with New Exec

AOL has tapped former AT&T executive John Burbank as its new chief marketing officer, completing CEO Randy Falco's management shakeup that began last year when he joined the company after leaving NBC.

"John is a superb executive who has the creativity, talent and experience to build on the momentum AOL has already achieved as a web company," said Falco. "John will help consumers better understand the unique products and programs we offer, and he will help ensure that AOL addresses the needs of our consumers and our advertising partners."

Burbank said he was eager to help AOL capitalize on its recent momentum as it looks to broaden its brand.

Once an internet powerhouse, AOL has slumped of late. But during Falco's tenure, the company has rebounded somewhat, buying Third Screen Media in a mobile play and most recently launching AOL Uncut, its own user-generated video property.
