Digg Drops Google for Microsoft
News aggregator Digg is no longer keen on Google. The company has fired the search giant and selected Microsoft to serve up its display and contextual ads.
"This move gives us an advertising partner with a larger organization and a more scalable technology platform to keep pace with Digg's growth," Digg co-founder Kevin Rose wrote in a blog post, calling the deal similar to one Facebook inked with Microsoft last year.
Digg had been using Google's AdSense, but decided to drop the platform after taking a careful look at Microsoft, Yahoo! and Google, according to Rose.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Digg will continue to work with Federated Media on integrated sponsorships and custom ad programs.
