Google declares war on click fraud
Google has opened its new Ad Traffic Quality Resource Center, declaring war on click fraud.
The resource center will serve as a one-stop shop for Google advertisers to find information about click fraud, Google product manager Shuman Ghosemajumder told Computerworld.
In the past, Google has quarreled with independent firms that measure click fraud over the extent of the problem. While click fraud remains a problem, Google's recent move is seen as a proactive attempt to get a handle on the problem.
