YouTube-killer has a name at last

At long last, News Corp. and NBCU have come up with a name for their new online video joint venture meant to defeat the vaunted YouTube.

Dubbed "Hulu," the site will be available to a limited number of users for testing as early as October.

"We just wanted a name that is short and easy to spell," Hulu spokeswoman Christina Lee said. "We like the idea that it rhymes with itself. We wanted a fun name."

With the advent of Hulu, NBCU and News Corp. have put an end to a much-reported name-game that has gone on for the past five months.
