iMedia parent company, dmg world media, has promoted of Brad Berens to the role of chief content officer & editor at large for ad:tech expositions and iMedia Communications in North America.
Berens will lead the content team for both companies, assuming an advisory role for the iMedia Connection editorial team that he has led since 2004.
"After three years, I'm wistful about leaving day-to-day involvement with the iMedia Connection website and newsletter," Berens said. "However, the media property couldn't be in better hands than with Executive Editor Gretchen Hyman, and I'll look forward to keeping in close touch as an editor at large."
In his new role, Berens will work to create synergies between iMedia and sister company ad:tech.
"ad:tech and iMedia serve the same community and share a mission," said Don Knox, VP of ad:tech expositions. "And ever since dmg world media acquired both companies we've been looking for ways to complement each other. We're thrilled to have Brad take this newly-created position and help our two companies -- and the interactive advertising industry -- benefit from working together."
