Developers bombard Facebook
When you're the darling of social networks, life is good and everyone wants to be your friend. But the deluge of third-party developers eager to work with Facebook has caused the company to rethink its $10 million fbFund.
In September, Facebook launched the fund with the support of Accel and Founders Fund to help developers create applications for Facebook. But with a flood of email submissions and concerns over potential legal disputes, the system has become a victim of its own success, according to a post on TechCrunch.
Facebook has replaced the simple email submission process with a more lengthy web-based application.
In the meantime, Facebook continues to crank out new applications to engage its growing audience.
