Is NBC poaching web content?

Welcome to strike-breaking in the digital age. According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is in rumored to be in talks to acquire the rights to "Quarterlife," an Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz web production made for MySpace.

"Quarterlife" will premiere this Sunday.

In an ironic twist, Zwick and Herskovitz had originally taken their skills to MySpace to retain greater creative control. But the recent Hollywood writers' strike has studio and networks looking for alternative sources for content.

MySpace and NBC did not comment on the rumored talks.
