AOL gets social search, Diller's love
If you've got a question, AOL plans on having the answer. The Time Warner subsidiary announced the purchase of Yedda, a social search firm that matches questions with related questions and automatically selects the best user to provide answers.
AOL plans to integrate the service into its portal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Ad Age is reporting that IAC boss Barry Diller is still interested in AOL. Diller, who recently streamlined IAC to focus on digital advertising, confirmed his interest.
"I've always said AOL is a great opportunity for somebody," Diller said in an interview. "When and if Warner doesn't want it, I'll certainly be at the door."
