YouTube partners with everyone
YouTube has expanded its ad revenue partnership program. According to a post on the company's blog, all YouTube users in the U.S. and Canada are now eligible to begin sharing in ad revenue generated from their videos.
What began as an experiment with the site's top producers could have the power to dramatically reshape the world's most popular video destination. While YouTube sees the move as a way to further engage its legions of devoted users, the company also said marketers should benefit from high-quality videos.
Many in the online video business have chided YouTube for bringing scale to videos without much advertising potential.
