Yahoo! shores up finance lead

While MSN Money and AOL Money & Finance have come on strong lately, Yahoo! isn't about to cede the No. 1 spot in the world of online personal financial information. The company has announced a deal to bring CNBC content to its popular portal.

"We're bringing together the leader on television with the leader online for financial content," Scott Moore, the head of media for Yahoo, told The New York Times.

The deal gives CNBC, which has struggled on the web, a great online presence. But it also gives Yahoo a robust source for financial video features.

The news comes on the heels of another web move from CNBC.com, which yesterday announced an agreement with Microsoft to sell contextual and display advertising on the site.
