MySpace nabs Sprint deal
In the race to bring social networks to handsets, MySpace has struck a deal with Sprint Nextel that would allow members of the site to access the News Corp-owned property from their wireless devices without typing in the web address.
"With prominent placement on the Sprint mobile web homepage, customers will have immediate and easy-to-find access to our network of sites on Sprint phones," said Peter Levinsohn, president of Fox Interactive Media.
The deal also covers News Corp's other web properties, which include IGN, FoxSports.com, RottenTomatoes and AskMen.
News Corp. announced a mobile plan for MySpace in September.
