Who knew ketchup was so popular?
Heinz is running a second round of its "Top This TV Challenge," giving consumers another opportunity to win fortune and fame by creating a Heinz Ketchup commercial.
According to published reports, the first challenge generated more than 4,000 qualified entries and 5.2 million online views.
In this second round, which runs until March 14, consumers can upload their 30-second commercials on YouTube, and then register their submissions on TopThisTV.com. A panel of judges will narrow the entries to 10 semifinalists, and then consumers will vote for their favorites.
Four runner-ups will receive $5,700 each and have their ads aired on national TV. The winner will receive $57,000 and, of course, his or her 30 seconds of TV fame.
