Android, Google's mobile operating system, may be available sooner than anyone realizes. Technology blog Gizmodo published a photo of an unidentified phone running Android.

According to a report at TechCrunch, this means Android could be ready some time in 2008.

Google, which announced Android in November, didn't put a date on the product's release, prompting many mobile analysts to speculate that the internet giant's mobile plans were a long way off.
