Ask users not as lost as you think

Ask.com may account for only a small fraction of the lucrative U.S. search market, but its users certainly know where they're going thanks to a new mobile application that literally lets people ask for directions.

Known as "Click to Speak," the new application lets users get directions on their web-enabled mobile devices by saying their location and destination.

The technology, which is provided by Dial Directions, works in conjunction with Ask Mobile, which can be used from any wireless device without a download.

According to a CNET News report, Ask.com is the first major search engine to offer a voice-powered solution.
