Facebook says bye to $240M exec

After helping to land $240 million from Microsoft, Facebook's Owen Van Natta, CRO for the social network, has called it quits, according to a Wall Street Journal story.

"Owen Van Natta has been instrumental in building out the core infrastructure of the company and has been key to building Facebook's Microsoft relationship," a Facebook spokeswoman said in a statement. "He also recruited some great executives in sales and business development and has been an influential part of the management team."

According to officials at Facebook, there are no immediate plans to replace Van Natta, who said he's looking for a CEO job.
