News broke earlier this year that Google would be testing video ads alongside search results. Now, a few Google-watchers have spotted those test ads, which remain largely in the shadows.

The ads were first spotted by Digital Inspiration, which posted screenshots of the static video ad units on its blog.

One of the ads, a promotion for Intel, appears at the bottom of the sponsored links section when users query with the keyword "laptop." However, the ad, which is quite small, only plays when the user clicks on the video. The ad, which is billed as a testimonial, plays on the search page.
