OMD has Intel inside

Omnicom Group's OMD has won Intel's $300 million global account. The firm beat out Universal McCann and Starcom for the media planning and buying duties for the processor producer.

"Each of the finalists impressed us, but OMD gave us a stronger sense of possessing world-class, media-industry leadership and state-of-the-art business intelligence and analytics," Intel executive Nancy Bhagat said in a statement.

The news comes shortly after Alan Cohen was named OMD's new U.S. CEO.
