Fox goes globetrotting with new ad network
News Corp. is launching an international online ad network targeted toward globetrotting executives, reported Reuters.
The network, called Worthnet.Fox, will feature financial news and advice.
Hernan Lopez, president of .FOX Networks -- a News Corp. unit that runs internet ad sales outside the United States -- says that this is being done with a view to enhance sales in emerging markets, especially Latin America.
Worthnet.Fox will sell ads for the international versions of Barron's Online, The Wall Street Journal Online and Marketwatch.com, as well as other sites not owned by News Corp. About 30 website publishers reportedly will be represented.
