AdSense font fiasco looms
Google is testing new fonts for its AdSense program, according to Search Engine Land, but so far the results are mixed.
Google, which began testing a Comic Sans font for AdSense back in May, hasn't won over many of the publishers who make their living through the search giant's ad network. While some have reported increased revenue from the experiment, others have complained that the font looks unprofessional.
Though a seemingly minor change, the text ads rely on relevance and aesthetics to drive conversions.
So far Google hasn't commented on the tests.
The test can be seen here.
