Glam Media, possibly the largest publisher and ad network focused on the female audience, has been working hard lately to define itself as more than just another ad network. So far this year, Glam has purchased the fashion blog StyleMob and launched GlamTV, a video distribution platform.
Glam's latest venture is "Glam Today," a newsletter in the vein of DailyCandy that showcases the best content from the more than 500 websites that serve Glam's ads.
The situation appears to be a win-win for Glam, according to CNET blogger Caroline McCarthy. Not only does it present another opportunity to sell ads, but it's also free publicity for the websites and blogs in the Glam network.
Each newsletter will cover a different topic. Fashion and shopping tips start the week off on Mondays, followed by beauty on Tuesdays, living on Wednesdays, entertainment on Thursdays and health on Fridays.
