Sony taps Aaron Sorkin for Facebook flick

There's a lot of debate over which social network is the true market leader, but only one will be the subject of an upcoming movie penned by screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

Sorkin, who is best known for such films as "A Few Good Men" and "Charlie Wilson's War," as well as television shows like "The West Wing" and "Sports Night," has signed on with Sony Pictures to write the story of Facebook's rise from college project to international phenomenon, according to The Los Angeles Times.

To research the project, Sorkin created a Facebook group, soliciting the community for advice and insights about a product he admittedly knows little about.

As for Facebook, the company said that it has not signed on to participate in the movie.
