Is LinkedIn ready for TV debut?

CNBC will soon have 27 million new contributing voices as part of a deal it inked with the professional-oriented social network LinkedIn.

Under the terms of the deal, CNBC will integrate LinkedIn content in the form of community polls and surveys. CNBC.com will also get improved functionality from LinkedIn. In exchange, the social network will syndicate articles, blogs, financial data and video content from CNBC.

"We will be able to draw out insights from LinkedIn's global user base to generate fascinating new types of business content for CNBC to broadcast," LinkedIn CEO Dan Nye said.
