MSNBC courts the little guy

Ads for small business owners will be a priority for MSNBC.com, which has partnered with AdReady to help local businesses make targeted ad buys on the site.

AdReady, a Seattle-based advertising technology firm, will rollout a self-service tool for small businesses to buy on MSNBC.com. Advertisers will be able to create made-to-order banner ads, which can then be targeted geographically.

But the tool, which can deliver a campaign for as little as $50, is also designed to help national advertisers manage local and regional campaigns.
