"30 Rock," NBC's hit satire set in the world of a weekly sketch comedy show, will make its season premiere a week early on the network's website and sister site Hulu.
The show, which will feature a guest appearance by Salma Hayek, will be streamed on both Hulu and NBC.com the night of Oct. 23. Seven days later, NBC will run the same show on television.
It is unknown whether NBC plans to run the show on the web with a special sponsor. However, the decision to release a hit show one week early for the web should be a major shot in the arm for Hulu, NBC's joint venture with News Corp. Despite trailing in audience size to rival YouTube, Hulu has made a name for itself by quickly becoming a destination for professional television content. That reputation has earned Hulu early support from an array of advertisers.
