DoubleClick Takes SmartPath, Envoy

DoubleClick announced that is has completed its acquisition of SmartPath, a privately held Marketing Resource Management software company.

The SmartPath MRM solution will add marketing planning and operational management solutions to DoubleClick's data and analytics optimization.  DoubleClick will sell the MRM solution as a standalone product, and integrate it with DoubleClick Ensemble 7.0 in June.

DoubleClick also teamed up with Digital Envoy, allowing DoubleClick to provide its clients with more advanced geographical targeting capabilities with their online campaigns through Digital Envoy's NetAcuity software.

Through NetAcuity, an IP Intelligence Solution that allows local content to be served to Web site users for targeted branding and acquisition campaigns, Digital Envoy would supply DoubleClick's serving products, including DART for Publishers, DART for Advertisers and DART Enterprise, with its IP based geo-targeting data.
