JupiterResearch will launch a research service in August that covers home theater and digital home entertainment.

The service will deliver insights on consumer needs and expectations, offer guidance in making decisions on topics such as convergence and optimal form factors and help vendors develop strategies. The service also will use consumer and executive IT surveys, online analysis and case studies to help clients.

The organization will also launch a blog, a companion to the research service.
