IFILM.com on Smartphones

Mobile video streaming company SmartVideo Technologies, Inc. announced a partnership with IFILM.com to deliver content on video-capable smartphones and personal digital assistants (PDAs).

IFILM offers a variety of channels spotlighting movies, short films, TV clips, video-game trailers, music videos, and sports. IFILM's hightlights will now be available on smartphones running the SmartVideo subscription service.

SmartVideo also delivers content packages, including programming from ABC News, NBC News, The Weather Channel and premium content from DIC Entertainment, with more programming being added regularly.

"Distributing IFILM's content on mobile phones is extremely important to us, and we're delighted about our deal with SmartVideo. Through SmartVideo, consumers can access our huge library of the best video on the web, no matter where they are. This is a big step towards our goal of making IFILM available everywhere," says Blair Harrison, chief executive officer, IFILM.

SmartVideo technology is carrier agnostic, which means that it works on the cell phone that is video-capable. The SmartVideo/IFILM partnership will stream existing ads from the IFILM site. Any future mobile advertising plans were not disclosed.
