Acxiom Acquires Digital Impact

Acxiom Corporation announced that it will acquire Digital Impact, Inc., a provider of integrated online marketing products, in a transaction valued at $140 million.

The acquisition will combine Acxiom's customer relationship marketing (CRM) capabilities with Digital Impact's integrated marketing expertise. Acxiom will provide its clients with a suite of digital marketing solutions.

"Acxiom is committed to providing our global clients a comprehensive array of services that scale to meet the needs of their direct-to-consumer programs. Digital Impact's superior online agency and interactive marketing solutions will meet the large-scale needs of the nation's largest marketers, while at the same time expanding the markets we can serve by complementing our January acquisition of mid-tier marketing services provider SmartDM," says Richard Howe, marketing organization leader, Acxiom.

"Over the last few years, there have been great advances in technology designed specifically for online marketing channels. With the growing demand and spend in this category, Acxiom believes this is an ideal time to enter this space in a leadership position. Digital Impact's people, technology and market and industry knowledge will allow us to do just that," says Charles D. Morgan, company leader, Acxiom.

Digital Impact forecasts revenue to fall between $46 and $52 million during the 2006 fiscal year. Analysts anticipate the current fiscal 2005 revenues to be $42.2 million. Acxiom paid $3.50 in cash for each share of Digital Impact.
