Return Path Testing Tool

Return Path, a provider of email performance management tools, has added a pre-campaign testing tool to its Delivery Assurance Monitoring platform.

The new service will give users the capability to test their email campaign before it is delivered, for content and HTML code errors that may cause the email to be erroneously filtered. In addition, users will be able to see the on-screen appearance of their email campaign using six different email readers.

"Certainly Return Path is a company that is pretty well entrenched in this marketing sector. I'm not sure if this is going to revolutionize the way companies approach their email marketing, but this company is smart to be releasing a product like this that deals with deliverability issues. They are becoming an increasing part of an increasingly bigger market," says Simms Jenkins, principal, Bright Wave Marketing and iMedia contributor.

Return Path is also adding additional functionalities to its new interface, such as international delivery monitoring, hierarchal account management and reporting structures, and more reporting capabilities.

"Pre-campaign testing is the first step to successful email deliverability and higher response rates. By isolating content and coding variables that will either lead to filtering or improper rendering, companies can correct those problems before they happen on a broad scale -- leading to more email being delivered properly," says George Bilbrey, vice president and general manager, Return Path.
