Jeteye's Shared Search Platform

Jeteye Inc. announced the launch of its shared search platform that enables users to search, manage and distribute information in a collaborative process.

Jeteye users sign up for the free, ad-supported service and save their relative search content in clusters called Jetpaks. Jeteye is populated by users who have created, managed and shared their web searches and information-gathering processes. The company offers advertisers the option to sponsor Jetpaks.

"We are launching a technology that gives each user more choice and control in information retrieval and creative contribution. Jeteye not only improves the web search process, it redefines how digital information is viewed, published and shared," says Jeteye founder and CEO, David Hayden.

Jeteye plans to roll out other search options such as audio and video within the next month, according to a company spokesperson.

"Searching the web has always lacked the power of intuition. We have built an industry-compatible platform that marries computing algorithms and human thought, allowing users to access Jetpaks created by a social network of individuals who have found and created new online information," adds Hayden.

The search platform is also Firefox compatible. Membership is free, although Jeteye requires an email address and alias for registration.
