MindComet, an interactive marketing company, is partnering with SPEED TV network to launch an interactive mobile collector car auction.
On January 17, mobile users may place bids on classic autos via the internet or through mobile devices. Bidding over the internet is free while bids over a mobile device will cost 50 cents per call.
"As SPEED throttles toward its 10th Anniversary in 2006, the network is committed to exploring emerging technology, including interactive television. Applications in the areas of VOD, broadband and mobile are all up and running under the SPEED brand, and we have every intention of continuing to explore these types of opportunities to connect SPEED with its viewers," says Kevin Annison, VP business development and operations, SPEED Networks.
