Survey: College Online Consumers and Ads

Experience, Inc. announced the findings from its "2006 Online Advertising: Habits" survey that found 53 percent of college students surveyed spend one to two hours online researching a product or service prior to making a purchase.

Experience is a provider of career services to students and alumni. Experience polled over 300 students and recent graduates from colleges to determine their attitudes on online advertising and ecommerce.

The survey also found that college-educated 18- to 34-year-olds have high expectations for online advertising. Fifty-two percent of respondents said they have purchased a product or service based on an online advertisement.
