NBC Universal and Touchstone Television are working on a deal to put downloadable episodes of the show "Scrubs" on Apple's iTunes, Variety reported.

The deal marks the first time different networks and studio have joined to make a television show available for online purchase. "Scrubs" is produced by Touchstone.

Variety reported that the NBC and Touchstone have agreed to a 50-50 split of all profits generated by the iTunes sales of season-five episodes.

Details of when the deal would be completed, pricing and if there are ads on the episodes were not disclosed.
