The T9 Texting Outlook Survey has found that 30 percent of moms use text messaging.

Among moms who text message, 65 percent of the messages they send are for fun or social reasons, while 28 percent are to coordinate family schedules and errands. Dads receive the most number of moms' text messages (30 percent).

The study also found that 29 percent of moms send their friends the most messages. One in five moms, which constitute about 18 percent of text messaging savvy moms, send the most messages to their kids.
